The Brief
Develop the rebranded Asda Financial Services website into a fully-fledged CMS solution within a 6 week production timescale.
The Solution
Maintaining the ASDA FS website over 2 years we had an in-depth insight and were in a perfect position to build a tailored CMS system. Weighing up the cost, flexibility and development time, an in-house CMS system was chosen over open-source or off-the-shelf solutions. Taking an agile development process the CMS was built in Ruby on Rails and utilised a number of in-house and 3rd party applications and libraries.
The Outcome
Built and launched on time, an unbelievable achievement and a credit to the agency! Updates are now rapidly deployed with minimal cost and technical ability. Tailored workflow, versioning and job management processes have been incorporated for better integration and efficiency across all Asda suppliers. A consistent customer journey and improved usability shown by the 30% improvement for bounce rates, pageviews, pages/visit and time on site.
