The Brief

We were asked to design a direct mail pack and follow up postcard to encourage B&S customers to attend the Summer Sale Preview events. The mailings had to fit in with the creative developed by the above-the-line agency but work very hard to get people to attend.

The Solution

The summer sale is notoriously difficult to get people to - holidays, good weather, congested sale communications all keep them away. We had to develop a pack that would appeal across the board and pray for bad weather! (Which we didn't get.) We offered a free cool bag for attending, a bottle of Moët for spending over £1,000 and extra discount vouchers on top of the fantastic 50% off.

The Outcome

We ran out of cool bags! It was the best sale attendance ever - up 66% YoY. The sales were also up 33% YoY. The mailing achieved a 1.2% response rate - the best performing sale mailing ever.

I have to hand it to the team at the Ashley Bolser Agency - they have integrated their work with our above-the-line agency superbly.
