Junior Web Developer

We are looking to recruit a new Junior Web Developer. You need to have good all round digital skills, a self starter and be a great communicator. Projects will vary massively from small email broadcasts, querying customer databases, data collection, API integration, up to full e-commerce/cms and mobile app development projects. Although not all essential we are looking for someone who has experience across:

• MySQL & data handling
• XML & CSV parsing/generation
• Regular expressions
• Javascript
• PC/Mac/Linux literacy
• Apache & server administration
• Ruby on Rails
• Git / GitHub
• HTML/CSS
• A little PHP
• Mobile app development
• Initially for a 6 month contract with a view to full time employment

Mobile application developer

Salary: circa 30k per annum
Holiday: 25 days (+ bank holiday)

This is a super opportunity for an experienced developer with a strong focus on C++ and mobile app development. You will be working on mobile application development and joining a new team dedicated to delivery of mobile apps as an extension of our extremely busy web development team.

You will have experience in the following technologies (in order of importance)

• C++
• JavaScript
• Qt
• Qt Quick (QML, Declarative UI, Bauhaus)
• Symbian (Carbide c++)
• Mobile/Embedded Development Experience
• Web Development Experience
• JSON, OAUTH, XML, 3rd party API integration
• Experience with Nokia devices and Ovi store

Our Ideal Candidate

Experienced C++ developer with a background in developing applications for Nokia devices. We have a number of projects waiting for your arrival so you should be fully up to speed with the above requirements.

You will need to be enthusiastic, take initiative and be able to manage your own workload. Strive to make the agencies work the best by taking ownership and care about standards even when under pressure. An ability to scope out projects functionally and technically with appropriate timescales provided is absolutely essential.

As a great communicator you should be able to work within a team and be able to articulate highly technical concepts concisely to non-technical staff without the reliance on technical jargon.

We require that you are within commutable distance to the Yeadon (Leeds) area and able to work out of hours.

Ashley Bolser Agency is a marketing agency based in Yeadon, Leeds and has been operating for over 10 years. We currently have 30 staff split across Account, Creative and Digital. And working with Brands such as Nokia, Asda, McDonalds, Lovefilm, Talk Mobile and Vodafone.
